We get to know the Arusha National Park and Mount Meru. In this blog article we tell you in detail about our journey to Mount Meru and the first steps on the mountain. During the first day we already saw countless animals like buffalos, zebras and monkeys. After an impressive climb we finally spent the night in the Miriakamba Huts.

After great impressions from the summit of Mount Meru we continue the last day of our hike tranquilly. We finally leave Mount Meru and go on a small game drive through Arusha National Park. During our canoe trip in Momella Lake we finally discover the impressive hippos of Africa for the first time.

Summit day is something very special. For Timo and me, the ascent to Uhuru Peak started in the middle of the night. The sky was starry, the air was ice-cold. In this blog post, we tell you how we experienced the hike from Barafu base camp to the top of Mount Kilimanjaro.
Descent from Kilimanjaro via Mweka Gate and our way back
After 7 days, our hike ended. We walked the last stage of our tour downhill and left Kilimanjaro National Park via Mweka Gate. From there on we went back to Arusha, where we spent another one and a half days before heading back to Germany.
